PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for the cashiering function for the assigned shift.
- Verify all cash in the cashier drawer at the beginning of the shift to ensure that the float amount is correct and that there is adequate change.
- Efficiently process cash or credit-card payment for all transactions.
- Ensure all cash change returned is accurate.
- Check and verify all cheques received and tabulate all cash and cheques for depositing into the bank.
- Have good product knowledge and be well versed with all the food and beverage items served at the restaurant.
- Diligently carry out all task assigned or delegated by the supervisor.
- Ensure that all guests are treated with the same service standards.
- Ensure that the uniform is well kept and personal hygiene is maintained.
- Be aware of all table numbers to facilitate billing.
- Need to have knowledge of the basic fire safety and security procedures.
- Attend daily briefing by the manager or supervisor.
- Responsible for checking and ensuring all operating stocks used in the cashiering function are sufficient and replenished when needed.
- Responsible for weekly cleaning and maintenance duties assigned.
- Responsible for informing the head cashier of any food or beverage cancellation made after billing.
